Meet Jim Huntington
Jim Huntington and his wife Patty have called the Finger Lakes region home for over four decades. Married for 42 years, they raised three sons—Matt, Dan, and Andrew—who are now married with families of their own and live nearby. Jim and Patty are proud grandparents to four beautiful granddaughters.
As a lifelong Republican, I believe in promoting individual freedom, encouraging economic growth and ensuring government efficiency. Fiscal responsibility will help minimize taxes.
Jim has always believed in giving back to his community. He coached youth football for 13 years and CYO basketball for 5 years and served as President and Vice President of the local high school Lacrosse Booster Club. His involvement extended to supporting fundraising efforts for football, basketball, and lacrosse programs.
More than 25 years ago, Jim and Patty purchased a small lake cottage, which they lovingly transformed into their “Forever Home.” This deep connection to the lake community led Jim to take an active role in the Honeoye Valley Association (HVA), where he currently serves as Treasurer. His work includes analyzing lake level data and exploring long-term solutions to protect this cherished natural resource.
Professionally, Jim brings over 38 years of engineering and management experience. He spent 32 years at Kodak as an Engineer and Engineering Manager, followed by 6 years at L3Harris as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Systems Engineer. His career honed his ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, solve complex problems, and manage large-scale budgets. Jim retired in 2021.
Jim is a member of the St. Mary’s and St. Matthew’s Faith Community. In his free time, he enjoys staying active at the Sand’s YMCA, playing pickleball, golfing, hiking, boating, and lending a hand to his lake neighbors.
Driven by a deep love for the region, Jim is passionate about preserving the beauty and character of the Finger Lakes. His goal is to help ensure its vitality for generations to come.
